The zoo now has Impressed Tortoise and Arakan Forest Turtle on-exhibit in Island Life where the Komodo Dragon used to be. This makes the zoo the only one in the nation to exhibit the turtle, and perhaps the only one to exhibit the tortoise as well.

One of the red panda cubs, Khyana, was born with a misshapen leg due to a birth defect, thus requiring amputation surgery. She is recovering nicely behind-the-scenes.
