Today I visited the beautiful Zooparc Overloon. I noticed the following things:
- On the new map a few things were announced, although they weren’t there already: next to the tigers, the snowy-owl’s will get a new aviary, the red-legged seriema’s will get their old exhibit. Black howler monkey’s will get the old lemur island. At the place where the storks lived (they left Zooparc Overloon) they started to build a new exhibit for the Chilean flamingo’s. Also they were building something new (no idea what) where the polar foxes, raccoon’s and striped skunks lived (who all left the zoo).
- Also Zooparc today announced that there will come a two-toed sloth living with the giant anteaters. He will arrive in 2 weeks, although I’m not so sure if the exhibit is good for a two-toed sloth.
- the White-naped cranes have left the park, they weren’t seen, signed or on the map.
- the red river hog’s weren’t signed or seen either, although they were still on the map.
- the rheas and vicuñas were separated with a fence, I don’t know if this was the case before already, or if this is temporary (possibly because the rhea’s had youngs).
- the red-bellied lemurs weren’t with the other lemur’s, but were in the old lemur island (they were signed there, I didn’t saw them though) the map says the black howeler monkeys will live there in the future.
- the zebu’s and debrazza monkey’s were separated with the giraffes, with a fence. I don’t know if this was the case already.
- In the old monkey cage the white-faced saki’s and marmosets now live.
- one of the fossa’s unfortunately passed away
. In that exhibit the bush dog lives now.
