Circulation à Gages : les visiteurs de Pairi Daiza pourront traverser le village à l'aller, pas au retour

I can't tell what's happening but there seems to be a problem with the road to the park being one way and people being unable to return to the village once they visit the zoo.

What's going on is inhabitants of small villages near Pairi Daiza having issues with or experiencing nuissance from the busy traffic through and from the park. Visitors will now only be able to pass through one village (Gages) on the way to, but not on the way from the park, based on a town council decision. On the way from the park they will be oriented to a different route.

This one-way to and from traffic was already to some extent in place during my visits in 2019 and 2020, so they probably only changed and/or extended this system. The (sometimes busy) traffic through and from the park through the small villages near it causing complaints is not a new issue.

Pairi Daiza is experiencing significant flooding from the Dender river which flows through the park due to recent heavy rainfall. Parts of the park, including some exhibits, have become flooded.

The animals have been taken to safe areas and the weather is expected to improve soon, so water levels likely will drop relatively soon. Pairi Daiza's teams are working hard to clean up the consequences of the flooding as much and as soon as possible.

Due to the exceptional inclement circumstances few animals will be on show and parts of the park might be closed, so Pairi Daiza recommends not visiting the park at least tomorrow.

I really hope there is no serious damage that will take too much time and/or money to repair, and that everything will be back to normal as soon as possible.

Asian elephant Elephant was recently in critical condition due to the disease caused by the endotheliotropic herpesviruses (EEHV), but survived and is now in better condition thanks to supportive treatment including plasma from other elephants and anti-viral medication. Unfortunately many other young elephants are not as lucky and don't survive. The Pairi Daiza Foundation supports efforts to combat this virus.

Hope Amithi will survive as calf's that have shown positive symptoms often die very quickly and example being Nandita from chester zoo she had shown to responding to treatment fairy well but passed away fairly quickly along with her half bother \nephew also was showing positive signs but also passes quickly to make matters worse they died within hours of one another on the same day

Did any of the other species had land taken away? As I recall the takin were right next to it?
It looks like maybe any extension was in the other direction. It looks a lot better, the old exhibit was just a grassy slope- very boring and didn't show them to advantage.
