The zoo will soon be on nine walruses if the rumours of them receiving two females from Harderwijk is true...

Circulation à Gages : les visiteurs de Pairi Daiza pourront traverser le village à l'aller, pas au retour
I can't tell what's happening but there seems to be a problem with the road to the park being one way and people being unable to return to the village once they visit the zoo.
Calf Amithi.Asian elephant Elephant was recently in critical condition due to the disease caused by the endotheliotropic herpesviruses (EEHV), but survived and is now in better condition thanks to supportive treatment including plasma from other elephants and anti-viral medication. Unfortunately many other young elephants are not as lucky and don't survive. The Pairi Daiza Foundation supports efforts to combat this virus.

Hope Amithi will survive as calf's that have shown positive symptoms often die very quickly and example being Nandita from chester zoo she had shown to responding to treatment fairy well but passed away fairly quickly along with her half bother \nephew also was showing positive signs but also passes quickly to make matters worse they died within hours of one another on the same dayTwo red pandas were born at Pairi Daiza on June 20th from the pair Hui Hu and Himiko. They will remain hidden in the next box for several more weeks.

Did any of the other species had land taken away? As I recall the takin were right next to it?A new, larger exhibit built on the same site (and some adjacent areas) as the previous one.
It looks like maybe any extension was in the other direction. It looks a lot better, the old exhibit was just a grassy slope- very boring and didn't show them to advantage.Did any of the other species had land taken away? As I recall the takin were right next to it?
