Is this the first time they had had 3 Koalas? last week they had both the male and female on display and the keeper I spoke to said that once the male gets comfortable they wanted to try and breed them, I wonder if they plan to breed this new female aswell. On November 15th, the zoo announced the gender of the African crested porcupine, (0.1).

They only have two koalas afaik - male Sydney and the new female Ellin. The female you saw was probably Ellin as they mentioned she was transferred to Palm Beach in the fall itself. Is this the first time they had had 3 Koalas? last week they had both the male and female on display and the keeper I spoke to said that once the male gets comfortable they wanted to try and breed them, I wonder if they plan to breed this new female aswell.
That's most likely the case, I just saw the post on facebook and saw she has been at the zoo for a while already. They only have two koalas afaik - male Sydney and the new female Ellin. The female you saw was probably Ellin as they mentioned she was transferred to Palm Beach in the fall itself.
I am a volunteer at PBZ, I can confirm the Africa expansion, however I have not heard anything about Penguins, the only new animals planned are Meerkats, Cheetahs, and Giraffes(which will take over an employee parking lot) New exhibits for the Southern Ground Hornbills, African Cape Porcupines, and Aldabra Giant Tortoises are planned aswell (I am not sure I am allowed to say all this, but if a brochure mentioned it then I guess its fine)The zoos website says that the grand opening of the Candace S. & William H. Hamm III Everglades Conservation Center will be tomorrow May 13.
Also, I found online a capital campaign brochure from 2021 for Palm Beach Zoo which has a master plan for new exhibits including an Africa section planned for 2025 and a penguin exhibit, plus many renovations and improvements to existing areas. Is there a chance this is fake and does anyone have updates on any of these projects?

a new male Common Squirrel Monkey was born on September 24th.
Palm Beach Zoo - Did you catch WPTV's segment this...
When I was volunteering here, I remember my boss telling me how all of their squirrel monkey babies have been males so they can't keep any of them and that they are praying for a female, o well, anther male it is lol
It really angers me that zoos have to deal with this crap, it brings back bad memories of the Dallas Zoo fiasco from last year. The zoo's eight-year-old Lorikeet "Catherine" is missing, and they suspect she may have been stolen. She was last seen on April 23rd, but was gone the following day. The zoo suspects that the case may be related to the Goeldi's Monkey that was stolen back in 2019 and was found the following day.

Hybridisation and cross breeding have been a problem in the past with flamingoes. Mmmm, I would hope it is quite temporary and does not affect their breeding?!!On May 1st, the zoo announced they moved their Chilean flamingos into the American flamingo exhibit temporarily for an upcoming renovation project.
Baby flamingos? An overnight transformation? A mishap at the flamingo feather factory? You may be wondering why our Florida flamingo habitat has some new residents that don’t exactly look like the rest.In preparation for an upcoming improvement project, we walked the Chilean flamingo (small pink) flock over to their neighboring habitat where the Florida flamingos (tall reddish-orange) live. This is only temporary, but the two species are getting along wonderfully. Come check it out! | Palm Beach Zoo
