Perth Zoo Perth Zoo News 2025

Perth Zoos Main Lawn has renovations have been completed. After opening last year the back of the lawn was still under construction. And this is the newest map https://perthzoo.wa.gov.au/PerthZooWebsite/media/PerthZoo/All PDFs/GeneralZooMap_April25.jpg.
Please note: it is just a guess that the lawn has been fully open since on the map I the lawn has been updated.
the new shaded area has been open for couple months now (i want to say around mid feb) with the new toilet blocks having been opened for as far as i know a couple weeks (i know they where open when i went march 24th) however the new path wasnt on the march map

how did you get that copy of the map btw? whenever i look on the website i just get the interactive map

Strange to see on your recent map Jaiden that "Birds of the south west" has now been re named to "Walk through aviary" maybe they now are housing birds that are not from the south west?? :)

On my most recent map that I have (possibly march) still has it as birds of south west...
my march map has it as walk through aviary, perhaps it was renamed so people know its a walk in aviary? i think jaiden would be able to find out when it changed as if i remember right they collect perth zoo maps

Also In other news that I have received from the Tasmanian devil keeper:

Perth Zoo will receive two new female Tasmanian devils to accompany our current 2 females... (Coee and the other one I forgot it's name :( are our 2 current ones) Coee is in my post above.
That sounds like good news I might be going next week if nothing comes up I will go check have there habitat been upgraded.

Here is the old Tasmanian devil viewing area, and here is the updated one, It also has new information boards :)

Where did you get the new one? On one of my visit last year the viewing area was upgraded just to have new Signs :Edit has the Koala viewing area changed? Since the Koala exhibit is across from the Tasmanian Devil exhibit
