On January 7th, the zoo announced their (0.1) fennec fox named Noelle passed away at age 12 the week prior.

Also on January 7th, it was reported that once their (0.1) Asian elephant Indu passes, they will be converting all the exhibits to hold more Indian rhinos. It was also reported that the zoo will acquire (2.0) Indian rhinos in the future, and at the moment there are no plans on bringing elephants back.

The future of the elephant program there seems more uncertain now. But I strongly hope the Indian rhinos are housed temporarily, then they can modernize the yards and barn, bull-proof them, and house either a breeding or bachelor group of Asian elephants once indu passes.
That seems very unlikely, it seems much more likely they don't acquire any more elephants and stick with Indian rhino for that exhibit.
