Watched a Tropical House build livestream earlier, and watching it I was constantly thinking "macaws, curassows, toucans, hornbills, quetzals, ibis, pheasants, please please please!" :p

Also noted that under continents filter there was "Polar" and "Antarctica", this leads me to suspect we probably will see species like polar bear and penguins included in the base game. We shall see...

Admittedly also hoping for Giant Anteater, Binturong, Bongo, Maned Wolf, cassowary, a flamingo, and giant salamander. :D

I think I watched the same video, but in time lapse. The house ended up as a tortoise/lemur walkthrough but looked damn impressive.

There's also this "Tiger Temple" build, based on Pairi Daiza's idea of theming... :rolleyes: It's a 2 hour video so I didn't watch it all, just skipped through, but the guy knows a fair bit about zoos in general and has high hopes of getting to PD soon...

You just got me thinking: Planet Coaster has DLC packs based on licensed properties. I wonder if they have any plans to do licensed Planet Zoo packs? It would be really cool if they partner with some real life zoos and get animals and items based on that. I sent a tweet asking them about it, we'll see if they respond!

It would be soo cool to have the clock from the Central Park Zoo, or even have pre-made buildings from the zoos to place if you aren’t very creative with building, or you’re just to lazy to spend hours replicating it.

With the confirmation of the Himalayan brown bear, the addition of another Asian bear species besides giant pandas seems unlikely unfortunately.

I’m surprised and actually happy that the tapir species they’ve chosen is baird’s; it’s a huge boost for the South American portion of the roster.
