prairie dogs would be a good addition.
The new features in the free update sound really cool and I think they'll really improve the game! And of course, I'm excited for the North America wildlife pack. I wonder what species we'll get? Beaver, moose, and sea lion will definitely be fine additions.
Personally I'm hoping we also get a smaller deer species (like mule deer or whitetail) but I won't hold my breath on that, I dunno if they'd include that AND a moose in the same pack. A cougar would be great, they're so iconic. I really hope they include a more obscure species too, I always love seeing that.

i bet we will get a cougar and a moose.
Might get prairie dogs, depends on how small Frontier is willing to go really. Meerkat I believe is currently our smallest habitat animal, and prairie dogs are a bit smaller. They would be a nice surprise though.
Yeah I'd be surprised if we got a second deer along with Moose, though we don't even have a deer in game currently.
I know alligator was rumored to be in the pack, we'll have to see I guess. Raccoon and perhaps Nine-banded Armadillo would be fun and fill out some smaller species. Coyote might have some high chances due to the ease of adapting the wolf/dhole rig. Wolverine would also be phenomenal. A bird like Trumpeter Swan or Sandhill Crane would be really nice but unfortunately I highly doubt we'll get it.
If beavers were really realistic they would always be sleeping out of view.
I'm wondering if they're saving deer for a Europe pack. Europe doesn't have as much large, iconic wildlife as the other continents do, and if they're planning a Europe pack, I'm sure that would factor into their decisions for the other packs.
I was also thinking coyote, the PZ crew seems to love their canids, lol. But so many people are annoyed with all of the dogs in the game, maybe we'll get a fox instead. (though if they had coyotes I'd totally use them)
And since the addition of meerkats shows that they're willing and able to include small animals, I think a prairie dog is a good possibility too. And armadillos. I don't expect to see raccoons since they have such an image of being an urban species, but I wouldn't rule them out either.
I don't expect to get any birds either. Not unless they add an aviary pack/feature.
I was hoping for Beaver, Moose, Californian seal, Alligator, Prairie Dog, Bighorn sheep, Cougar and the snapping turtle in the exhibit slot. These would cover all the biomes on the continent and be a nice range of rigs. Fully makes sense about Prairie dog being too small, Raccoon and Armadillo instead of the Prairie dogs and bighorn sheep maybe?

Bighorn Sheep could be a real possibility given Dall Sheep would provide an easy rig and animation set, I'd prefer something different due to already having Dall.
Either snapping turtle would be a nice exhibit slot, Eastern Indigo Snake could be good too.
Correct on both counts. Would really be nice to see some expansion in the exhibit biomes and vary the setups more.
North American Animal Pack has been officially announced - the animals are the moose, cougar, American beaver, American alligator, black-tailed prairie dog, California sea lion, arctic fox and American bullfrog. It will be released on 4th October.

Good selection of species there, I still haven't played it since the African DLC came out but I'm still gonna buy this. Was kinda hoping for an Alligator Snapping Turtle as the exhibit animal but the American Bullfrog is still good. All the others are good choices.
Really happy with this selection tbh, especially sea lions, it is great to finally have those!
Bullfrog is a bit disappointing as we already have the relatively similar Goliath Frog (and probably because they didn't want to set up a new rig, judging by past DLC). Everything else is quite nice though!
Nice to have some more species we can use the North American desert flora with.
I feel like the Arctic fox was supposed to be in the arctic pack while the dall sheep is supposed to be in the NA pack.
