More than single islands I would make a pack that represents many, like an "Islanders Animal Pack"I doubt we'll get many more, if any but I hope for at least a European pack and maybe a Madagascan or Galapagos.

Apparently there was a leak that they intend to work on the game until the end of 2022 at least, with the current rate of DLC releases we would get about 4 more of them, I'd love this, specially because the game IMO would be incomplete without the Aviary Pack. But whether it's true and will happen.... only time will tellRealistically I think after the North America pack, we will get a Europe pack and then Frontier will stop working on PZ.

I was often wondering if there would be a Planet Zoo 2 and what animals might be added to it, and if you can use them part with Planet Zoo 1.
I don't know how to do itYou should have used the spoiler function.
This way it doesn't get quoted by others too
Oh man, oh man... I can't wait for these! What great news! After last update some modders datamined the game for modding porpoises, and some juicy leaks were found, if you want these information read the rest of my reply, if you want to be surprised by the devs, ignore this.
Also these are 100% legit informations, you can literally find these by yourself in the files:

could you please send me the link? After last update some modders datamined the game for modding porpoises, and some juicy leaks were found, if you want these information read the rest of my reply, if you want to be surprised by the devs, ignore this.
Also these are 100% legit informations, you can literally find these by yourself in the files:
SPOILERS AHEAD!
New content:
5 new file folders have been found, meaning that official support won't stop until the end of 2022, unless sales are pretty low or something drastically bad happens, 5 new DLCs are on their way.
New enrichments:
2 new enrichments have been found, an underwater log feeder and a ball hoops for pools.
New scenery:
6 new scenery items have been found, a coastal mural walls, 2 sizes of a Torii gate, east asian moss patches, zen pebbles, a led sign and a drawbridge.
New ride:
A single new ride has been found, a ferry ride.
Unknown objects:
These are placeble items that don't have tags related to their functions, so they could be either enrichments or sceneries, the buoys and different hot springs.
New animals:
Only 2 animals have been found in the files, or at least, their signs, not the proper animals, anyway these two are the very hyped capybara and the Lord Howe island stick insect.
New behaviors and mechanics
Flying mechanics and behaviors have been found in the files, such as "landing animation", "avoid obstacle", "flock behavior" and more.
My conclusions:
One DLC seems to be highly Japanese themed, people say it's "northeast asia" due to the moss patch name, with the hot springs, torii gate and zen pebble reinforcing the Japanese theory.
Another DLC seems to be coastal themed, perhaps aquariums? But if we want to look at it realistically it could very well be a pack with semi-terrestrial marine animals, so other seals, penguins, otters and maybe a sea turtle?
The drawbridge is the only thing that people can't really connect with any oack, perhaps it's for the ferry ride, to me it could be for a medieval themed pack.
Also, flying animals are really coming, it's not known if in the near future or next year, but it's still really cool to see them being in the work.
Great analysis! I think a new type of exhibit is needed, specially if they want to include smaller birds like hummingbirds or even sparrows for that matter. A new mechanic is bound to happen, I mean, they need to make sure the habitats are fully enclosed and birds cannot fly away. So it could also be that you can just make smaller habitats by yourself, using fences and barriers to make an enclosed area. Which raises the question, how will they account for the minimum requirements? Will it still be a 2 dimensional requirement or will they implement a 3 dimensional minimum volume? So flying birds by this time has to be a ~90% lock in, right? I mean, various other sources reported the advent of flying birds in PZ months before, these new data leaks support these theories. They could still be artifacts of scrapped ideas, but at this point, I can't imagine that to be true.
Which leaves the question, what can we expect on the aviary front?
- Do we get a new type of exhibit for smaller birds? We've seen Frontier add a new type of exhibit in the semi-aquatic pack and I think small aviaries make sense for smaller birds.
- How many birds can we expect in the pack itself? So far, we can analyse the situation through the 4+1 and 7+1 pack frameworks:
- I'm assuming we need more scenery and building pieces for birds than what's currently offered in the game. A pure bird pack with a few enrichments (7+1) to me seems out of the question.
- A 4+1 aviary pack could be possible. We'd get a few new birds, enrichments, scenary pieces, foliage and the necessary building items. This also opens up future more animal-centric packs (like a 7+1 bird pack) in the future.
- Both options feel less-than-ideal to me. The 4+1 birds would obviously feel a bit anti-climactic to myself and probably others as well. The 7+1 pack would probably not be feasable due to a lack of building items. We've also seen Frontier shake up the DLC format with (1) first the more from a 4 animal DLC to a 4+1 animal DLC, and then the 7+1 animal packs afterwards. All these packs were introduced at a 10 euro price point.
- I wouldn't be super surprised if we get a (slightly) bigger DLC pack, with 15-20 euros worth of content. This would open the way for both 7-10 birds and the necessary aviary items. This would be my preferred situation, though imo I wouldn't mind even bigger DLC releases to further flesh out the game/roster.
- Like with swimming, which animals will be retroactively fitted with flying? My money's on the Peafowl first.
- And of course: which birds will be introduced? Most fun to speculate about new additions.
i expect more than 8 birds, at least 20 birds it's enough, we would have more ideas to create our zoos.Great analysis! Yes, 4 animal would be totally disappointing, and I don't think they would spend so much time implementing flying mechanics, landing mechanics, etc; just to add a couple of animals. I believe 8, like the North America pack, is the minimum. And I really hope they add some variety because, even if they don't make many birds, they will open the possibility for modders to do so more easily.
I also wouldn't mind if they made a bigger pack and charged more for it, but I'd expect it to have more than 8 birds, presenting a good variety of them and introducing some quality mechanics.
It's hard to say which birds will be in it, but just to name a few that I think are essencial: Macaws and Parrots (hard to say which one, but if a larger DLC were to happen, I'd love to see them add variety to the game, if you add 1 macaw, why can't you add 3,4 of them? I mean, probably it would be just a matter of adjusting the size and texture of the bird). Some Owl, maybe the Barn Owl? Scarlet Ibis, Bald Eagle, Andean/ California Condor, Harpy Eagle are also some good guesses.
why is unrealistic? I think it would be good.20 birds is way too unrealistic for a pack.
