Planet Zoo Planet Zoo!

A couple of Animals I like to see added.

Coyote: A canid known for its adaptability and life in many biomes, such as forests, wetlands, grasslands, deserts, mountains, tundra, and rainforests.

Impala: a Common African Ungulate that can be added to any mixed-species savannah and can live in open woodland and savannah environments due to its grazing and browsing diet.

I am excited to be getting the next 2 packs for my Xbox (Conservation and Arctic) on 3rd December. I am also pleased to hear that there will be a new Planet Zoo DLC animal pack coming soon and I hope that it still won't be the end just yet.

There are still a good few mammals that I desperately want like the Blackbuck and a few species from South America which I listed last week but forgot to add the Mara. I also still think some more larger birds would still be possible like Cranes, Storks, Ibis', Pelicans, Spoonbills, Rhea etc.

I am trying to think of other free updates (other than animal burrow cameras for the guests, billboard videos, King Cheetah and piebald animals) that hasn't been put onto consoles yet.

YEEEAAAAH MORE PACKS LET'S GOOOOO. At this point, I'm not gonna assume that any pack is the last unless they either directly say it is, or we go six months without a new one, ha ha.

This does explain why the animal roster in the Zookeeper's Pack was a little odd. It was presented as popularly requested animals but most of the animals in the pack weren't especially high up on the lists. This makes me think that the next pack(s) might include some of those species. If they were already planning, say, an African Savannah pack that includes a secretary bird, then the secretary bird doesn't go in the Zookeeper Pack.

Given that the Zookeeper Pack was a general "popular requests" pack rather than a more coherent theme, I'm guessing that the next DLC will go back to coherent themes. (but I won't totally rule out of the possibility of it being another "popular request" kind of theme) Outside of a popular request theme, I'm not sure what kind of pack would include a secretary bird AND a tree kangaroo, which makes me think that we could potentially get another two packs at minimum.

The animal selection for the walkthrough exhibits is still really limited so I'm hoping the next pack will include something for that. I think tamarins could potentially be a good choice, they could probably create a few species with one rig like they did for the butterflies. They could also do this with lorikeets or other parrots.

The ocelot is still my top request so I'm hoping we get it. (and I think it's fairly high up on the meta wishlist so it has a shot, right?!) I really want more South American species in general, especially primates, but also ungulates. I'm also partial to the fishing cat, secretary bird, gerenuk, and musk ox. And I really want a pony, or a domestic horse. It's weird to have a barnyard area without a horsey!

Personally hoping the next pack gives a big push to Latin America. And since last pack we know two primates is on the table... Getting two monkeys would be massive boost as well as Coati, Rhea, Mara... Maybe ocelot or another bird too

I would like a rainforest pack or something to that effect which would cover the commonly requested new world primate, tree kangaroo (my favorite), mantled guereza, and my desired colorful pheasant.

But I feel like 2 packs are necessary because I can’t think of a way to connect new world monkey, tree kangaroo, colobus, and secretary bird/crowned crane/stork/shoebill

After seeing your comments, I have two ideas of how the next year could go for PZ.

1º Idea: We’re getting only one pack, an Adventure/Global type pack, that it will include 8 animals:

  1. Tree kangaroo (flagship): I know that goodfellow wasn’t removed, but I think that the roo was cut from the oceania and the zookeepers because of the difficulty of making it, but I think they could pull it off this time and why would they put goodfellow? Both echidna and secretary, as I’ve been told, have been put there because of something else.
  1. Coati: One of the most requested animals, don’t think they’re going to miss this opportunity again.
  1. Howler monkey: The lack of NW primates is quite enormous, and I think this problem should be addressed ASAP, and I think it would be a missed opportunity not to include it.
  1. Serval: frontier is inclined to make at least one carnivore most of the time they can, so making the serval isn’t far-fetched.
  1. Walrus: I do think we need another semi-aquatic animal in the game. The walrus is the perfect excuse for PZ to make a marine animal that’s highly requested with not that many complications
  1. Pelican: a lot of you say that the secretary bird isn’t coming, so I think the pelican is an easy replacement. It could use the model of the swan as base, so it’s not really that difficult to make. And it’s wanted bird to a degree.
  1. Blackbuck: Same as the carnivore, frontier is inclined to make ungulates, so I think that blackbuck isn’t too far-fetched either.
  1. Indian cobra (exhibit): I don’t think that they will pass the exhibit again with the bad reaction it got. You could change the cobra for the chameleon, but knowing frontier, I think they wouldn’t add their color change, so to avoid any bad reaction, the cobra is much easier.
This is based on what CharlieXGaming predicton on what the zookeeper’s pack would have had, but I changed both the markhor and the baboon for the tree roo and the walrus. The scenery would be pieces, rocks and plants that the community wants.

I think this pack would be a great pack to close PZ. It has bits for everyone, from having an e.animal, lots of scenery, 2 s.a animals and a bird. It would be accompanied by an update that would fix issues with the climbing and diving.

The art for the pack would be the tree roo as the flagship animal (it would be climbing/sitting on a branch), in the middle-ground there would be a howler monkey (climbing a leaning trunk) and the walrus (sunbathing in the shore of what seems a body of water) in the background. The color would be a light orange.

This would be released in May/April.

We would get an anniversary animal: Rhea

2º Idea: We get 2 packs and an anniversary animal, like this year.

First pack: Latin America pack, 5 animals and lots of scenery from the continent.

  1. Coati (flagship)
  1. Howler Monkey
  1. Bush dog
  1. Rhea
  1. Two-toed sloth (W.E)
The art for the pack would be a coati as the flagship animal (it would be climbing/sitting on a branch), in the middle-ground there would be a howler monkey (climbing a leaning trunk) and the rhea (standing on a meadow) in the background. The color would be saturated red.

Second pack: Global pack, 7 animals and less scenery:

  1. Tree kangaroo
  1. Pudu
  1. Blackbuck
  1. Walrus
  1. Pelican
  1. Serval
  1. Cobra
The art for the pack would be a tree roo as the flagship animal (it would be climbing/sitting on a branch), in the middle-ground there would be a serval (climbing a leaning trunk) and the the walrus (sunbathing in the shore of what seems a body of water) in the background. The color would be light orange.

Same update as the first example.

We would get an anniversary animal: Perentie/Nile crocodile.

Hope you like it!:)

i hope next year's pack gives us shoebills.

not because i want shoebills. but so i can stop hearing about shoebills.

(no hate intended to shoebill fans lol)

I don’t hear people wish for shoebill as much as walrus, muskox, and secretary bird.

Add on Marine Fish for Wishlist:
