On March 18th, the zoo announced that they have acquired a (0.1) Virginia opossum named Fancy after she was found injured in the wild. Her exhibit is located at the Discovery Barn section.

On March 30th, the zoo announced that they have acquired (0.0.3) Huacaya alpacas from Ten Seven Acres alpaca farm. The alpacas are named Drekker, Rudy, and Hops and are exhibited in the Children's Zoo Farm section.

On June 24th, it was reported that a (0.1) Bactrian camel was born on June 7th. She is currently awaiting a name.

Incredibly exciting to see the zoo's master plan taking shape four years after its announcement, I look forward to seeing to completed exhibit!

It is cool they choose to work with pure-bred American Bison. Hopefully, it will be attached to an in situ project with local First Nations (as really Dakotans could make a more positive gesture towards the local tribal communities in the wake of recent socio-economic strive).

Great to see another zoo get there hands on some pure bison! Hopefully more pure bison will come in to eventually replace the hybrids that we currently have (although that would probably take a very, very long time).
