She died in 2018.
Naphisa was acquired from Zoo New England.

Snow Leopard Penny belongs to Tanganyika Wildlife. They have a lot of Snow Leopards and have sent a couple of them out on breeding loans to other zoos.
I have 7 Amur Leopards noted at San Diego: Oskar (born 2012, Copenhagen), Satka (b 2014, Mulhouse), Charlie ('Axle') (born 2017, Sedgwick County) and the 4 born at San Diego: Dorothy and Maryanne (2018), Lev and Tuman (2020). Has one of the cubs born in 2018 moved too another, does anyone know?
Dorothy is now in St. Louis.
San Diego Zoo and Safari Park will now require reservations for memberships to visit either park. There may be an error with their system right now in trying to get reservations.
After many tries, I was able to get the maximum of 6 reservations.
I never even got an email about needing reservations. I was just given a heads up from my friends. I am going this morning, I will let you know how it is.@betsy I tired all yesterday since I received the email and now it’s temporarily unavailable

I went today and they won't be requiring reservations until tomorrow. I walked right in and it wasn't crowded at all. If you show up without a reservation, they have a tent set up on the other side of the parking lot where you will have to stand in line and hope to get in. I hope they get the system up and running smoothly. I go at least twice a week for my sanity.
Oh wow so they will allow non reservations which is nice but I imagine it could get out of hand if they don’t enforce the policy for those who did have reservations. I can’t wait to go back next month but I am so pessimistic that COVID may get that bad that it can all close again

Did the Zoo acquire Asiatic Black Bears recently because I'm looking at the official map on their website and it has an Asiatic Black bear instead of Bornean Sun Bear on there now?

Sun Bear is still there, but higher up. Certainly looks like Asiatic Black Bear though, interestingly enough.
If you mean the grotto next to the Snow Leopard, it used to have Sloth Bear in February.
PS. On my map from back then is shown that this enclosure holds Sun Bear, even if it did not. Now the picture of the Bear species is changed.
