San Diego Zoo Safari Park San Diego Zoo Safari Park News 2014

Via facebook, the Safari Park announced the birth of four lion cubs from last month. The litter includes 3 females and 1 male.

I have been wanting to go out to see the new tiger exhibit. I am a Diamond Club member so I can get in (with free parking) no problem. These new cubs may be the deciding factor to make me hop in the Prius and head out west.

I would love to hear your opinion. I am thinking you will be impressed. :)

Actually it makes 9.
Dad- Izu
Mom- Oshana
Aunt - Mina
Older hand reared litter - Ken and Dixie
Younger mother reared litter - Ernest, Evelyn, Marion and Miss Ellen.

That would tie the National Zoos pride...
Dad - Luke
Moms - Shera and Naba
Naba's cubs - Eva and Desta
Shera's cubs - Amahle, Chisulo, and two more males whos names I cant find for the life of me.

Can anybody of the San Diego Experts tell me, how amny Indian Rhinos were born at the park since the last one on December 24,2008, which was Number 60....

Thank you!

That's not much of an article at all. There wasn't even a mention of the zoo's Frozen Zoo. I, for one, would have liked to have read more.

Petunia is their youngest Indian Rhino calf and she made the 67th birth at the park.
.

That's a pretty good success rate I would say. That's nearly two per year!

I have a question regarding Lion Camp, though. We're the lions moved from their hillside because the zoo wanted separate biomes, or for a different reason? I suggested in conversation that they were partially moved to give them greater visual stimuli with an overlook onto the "Serengeti". Now I can't even recall if Lion Camp actually overlooks it or not.
