I was just noting that these are species missing from some of the large zoos and aquariums in the area, such as the Adventure Aquarium and the National Aquarium in Baltimore. I seem to remember Adventure Aquarium used to have Brown Smoothhound Sharks, but I did not see them the last two times I was there. SeaQuest Aquarium also had what appeared to me to be a a Banded Houndshark (Triakis scyllium), but there was no signage for it and I am no expert. However, if that is the case, it is the only one I know of displayed on the East Coast. Same with the Grey Smoothhound Sharks, which I thought tended to be more commonly displayed in West Coast aquariums. All very common species really.
