Singapore Night Safari Singapore Night Safari News

I should also probably mention that the Mandai Instagram page has posted a video showing some parts of the Pangolin Trail, including some snippets of the new Pangolin signboard and the Pangolin Hut

The new homes for the arboreal creatures are apparently as high as 6 meters and look very lush, though I didn't see any water bodies in the video so still holding out hope I'll still get to see the Pangolins swimming in their new enclosure

Mandai Wildlife Reserve on Instagram: "Coming soon to Night Safari! A new walking trail that celebrates some of the native wildlife of Singapore and Malaysia. Here’s a peek at their new homes and how the nocturnal residents are settling in! #MandaiWildlifeReserve #NightSafari #NightSafari30"

@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ ooops I read wrongly :p,based on the video,do you think it would be easier to spot the pangolin in their new enclosure compared to the one at leopard trail?

I can't completely tell as of right now, but the 6 meters tall enclosures might be quite a challenge though the Pangolin Hut might make things easier if say there's a 2nd story

I'm still going to bet on the new Pangolin Trail however since the Leopard Trail enclosure is just impossible to spot Berani if he decides to head to the back and chill

Would the civets in Pangolin Trail be the ones in the walkthrough? They'd probably be easier to spot here. Wondering what will take over that enclosure if that's the case

@LeMandaiEnthusiast‧ Wait I am a little confused,is the pangolin hut and the 6 meters tall enclosure the same thing or two different enclosure.

I'm not too sure actually, the Pangolin Hut is probably the one with the 6 meter height but I know pretty much nothing for that 2nd enclosure but I did get some extra news with it

The Civet enclosure apparently has a 2nd story and yes, at least one Pangolin enclosure (which seems to be the main one with the 4 species) has a body of water so we'll get to see them swim once again

The Pangolin Hut seems to be a crouch down enter area or something like that, at least when I asked the keepers but I've mostly forgotten.

The body of water is probably for the second pangolin exhibit, as there were no water bodies visible in the 6-meter-tall enclosure as seen from the video.(It also probably wouldn't be safe for the other residents :p)

Ironically when I asked the keeper they mentioned it was probably the opposite lmao. Well not exactly opposite, they said the main enclosure should have water but they forgot about the other

Also it can't be that bad can it? The Civets in the old enclosure always avoided the water. Mousedeer and Slow Lorises (The Bengal subspecies at least) can apparently swim and apparently Giant Flying Squirrels might be bad but can swim when needed
