Tragic Loss of Animal Life at Smithsonian’s National Zoo
Tragic news from the zoo, a wild fox killed a good portion of the zoos flamingo flock(25) and a Northern Pintail Duck.
On May 14th, it was reported that the fox has been caught and euthanized.

Yeah I just tend to overthink things for stupid reasons, but I'll just post what it said.If they answered it in a member forum - it's public. Memberships don't hold exclusivity for zoo news.
This Friday (May 27th) the zoo will be opening a new exhibit called the Claws & Paws Pathway. The path will feature four species, North American porcupine, bobcats, binturongs, and Pallas's cats.

The closest zoo I can think of that has Pallas's cats is the Prospect Park Zoo in New York City.Very excited for the Pallas's Cats! No one around here has them.

What did they have then?... and we've now come back (almost) full circle, to when that space was Forest Carnivores, an almost hidden side-trail that housed small carnivores.
