Last time I visited I saw a moorhen in with yellow mongoose, it didn't end well... Wouldn't be surprised if it was a mixed species exhibit!
The paca sharing with giant otter is just plain irresponsible! Are south lakes a member of BIAZA?

They are in EAZA. What that says about the latter is a matter for discussion....

I assumed that they wouldn't be, one day these mixed species exhibits will get them in the papers again for all the wrong reasons!
The entire group of Mandrill have left today for a zoo "far into Europe"

...Am I the only one that translated that quote as "the big zoo in the sky" ?

how long did they have mandrills?
They have had them for a long time - at a guess could be up to ten years! Sad to see them go

You never know how true that could be, a Liger would pull in far more revenue than lion or tiger cubs would....

Not only that, guests will be able to walk freely in the Liger's exhibit, as part of the "South Lakes Experience" that is key to the world's best (and quite possibly only) Safari Zoo.
