I rarely comment on this thread as it hardly has any news items on the zoo per se and has turned more into a discussion forum of the exploits of their zoo manager. In that, I can see your point.
However, the overall message coming through here I do agree with. Surely, I am not immune nor blind to the various exploits of said Mr. David Gill in his wildlife park that are a contradiction of management and husbandry practice in a conventional wildlife park. For me, this pertains to avoidable losses of wild animals, their husbandry practice with unsafe exhibitry and rather "dangerous" wildlife combos, the procedural lapses - that I have never seen from any top quality zoo in the zoo industry - and frequent incidences of wild animals escapes.
Secondly, to then cut and paste my short observation of what was aimed at said Mr. Gill notion of Zoochat as zoophiloos and to take that as a model to go on a charade over perceived immaturity on this forum, is taking it a little too far methinks and as such is a misrepresentation of what I was trying to get across.
Thirdly, to then claim to take the high ground, that people here are on a witch hunt of sorts … - I am most certainly not - and be a neutral is hardly what has been showing from your participation in this particular thread. So, please spare me the lambasting of others that occasionally do comment here.
Finally and most importantly, I very much value a good discussion on zoo matters and I am open to do so and recognize / accept we may care to differ on opinions. That is fine by me. And for what it is worth, I am rather mature both in age, mind and body … thank you very much.
