I recently visited South Lakes Wild Animal Park on the 30th of October. The weather wasn't the best ever but the park is certainly one of the best zoos I've ever been to!
The animals were all cared for so well that none of them looked too skinny or too fat. There is little walking space so OAPs and children don't get tired.
Some of the real highlights of the zoo are: The Andean Bears were certainly the most interesting to see as they are so active and yet so lazy, The Big Cat exhibits are amazing as you can get to see them climb to reach their food and also roar right in front of your eyes, The African Savannah is the biggest enclosure and it really lets the White Rhinos Peralta Giraffe and the Hamadryas Baboons have a lot of exercise, The Primate species they have are a large collection and certainly but a smile to someones face AND The Pygmy Hippos are my favourite animal at the zoo as it is amazing to see them wallow in the water from on top of the boardwalk.

I would seriously recommend a visit to South Lakes as it is the most family friendly zoo I have ever visited!
