Does the chimpanzee exhibit provide adequate climbing opportunities? I was under the impression it didn’t, but maybe I am misremembering.

I saw nothing to indicate the chimps don't have access to the trees in the exhibit, however I don't know how often they use them either. There are some other climbing structures available, and while it isn't necessarily a lot chimps are nowhere near as arboreal as, say, orangutans.

That’s good to see, although I’ve also always thought that barrier is really annoying for sight lines. I understand it’s probably there for safety reasons, but the exhibit would look so much better if it just relied on the moat.

On June 6th, it was mentioned that the zoo transferred their (0.2) cheetahs named Nyah and Zuri to the Metro Richmond Zoo in Virginia in exchange for (2.0) cheetahs named Max and Sam.*

The chimps do not have access to the trees. Only the deadwood structure for climbing.

On April 19th, the zoo announced they acquired a (1.0) Cape genet named Inky/Inkwenkwezi, which is now on display in the Rainforest Room (previously called the Reptile Room).

On April 28th, the zoo announced they renovated the Eurasian eagle owl exhibit, which added new perches, stumps, and a swing to the enclosure.

* Nothing to do with news itself, but at the bottom of the same article it says that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (Yes that one) bought several animals from the facility, though a date was not given. Is there any more information out there?
