A 10 years old female Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) called "Niu Li" has been transfered to Singapore Zoo, to be pairing with a male from Hong Kong called "Wan Wan". This is a cooperation with SEAZA (South East Asian Zoos Association).

Taipei transfered a female 8-year-old King Penguin (Aptenodytes patagonicus) to Xpark.
 
In the winter of 2021, 2.1 Blue-tailed Bee-eaters (Merops philippinus) joined Taipei Zoo.
In 2022, Taipei transfered 2.0 Giant Leaf Frogs (Phyllomedusa bicolor), 5 Golden Poison Frogs (Phyllobates terribilis), 6.6 Blue Poison Dart Frogs (Dendrobates tinctorius var. "Azureus"), 9 Yellow-banded Poison Dart Frogs (Dendrobates leucomelas), 0.1 Bornean Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus) to Singapore Zoo.
 
Taipei is negotiating with introducing 2 male Grevy's Zebras (Equus grevyi), and 1 male Chapman's Zebra (Equus quagga chapmani) from Japan. The Grevy's Zebras would be coming from Kyoto City Zoo and Nogeyama Zoological Gardens, and the Chapman's Zebra would be coming from Adventure World. The staffs will also visit JAZA to negotiate with the conservation plans of Crested Argus (Rheinardia ocellata ocellata), Bali Myna (Leucopsar rothschildi), and Red Panda (Ailurus styani).

Taipei Zoo will be closed from 12nd June to 21st June this year for annual maintenance.
 
Taipei now has 16 (9.7.0) Northern Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus cinereus), and they will introduce new individual from Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Australia in 2023.
