Ignored the heat and went to the zoo today. It was busier than I expected but the crowd was good. Not to many school kids.
The place is full of temporary fences and construction workers.
The chimps have moved to the orang utan forest and it seems to be holding up O K at the moment. A couple more weeks may see the end of the greenery in there.
Work has started on the tassie devils area in the old big cat yards next to the B2B.
An anaconda is on display in the first enclosure once you enter the rainforest section of serpentia. ( thats if you are going the right way through there.) It may have been on display for a while but it was the first time I have noticed it.
The new entrance precinct is going to be bigger than I expected. It looks to me that the area is going to come right down to the old dingo and tassie devil exhibits.
A victoria crowned pigeon now resides in the rainforest avairy.
The baby elephant was very active and as usual was holding a large crowd.
I was unable to locate a keeper to ask about the baby langur.
It was a great way to spend the day and still my favourite place to be.
