Not sure what amuses me more; the use of an extremely outdated (and long-disproved) paraphyletic *and* polyphyletic lump for all those tortoises, or the fact the two species which *are* still in Geochelone have been omitted :p

I know that your main goal on this forum seems to be to pursue me trying to ridiculize my correct taxonomy and substitute it by your wrong one, but please, could you stop harassing me constantly with the same theme? It ends being a bit boring. I dont harass you because of your taxonomic point of view, so don't do this to others.

By the way, I have photos of all the 10 living + 3 fossil species of Geochelone, but not everyone as pairs, so the two species that you think can't fit in this thread - for G. elegans is a lone individual (and it's a very young one, that also can't fit in the thread), and for G. platynota they're three individuals in same photo.

Any constructive, positive or just non-denigrative comment will be welcome in this thread by any member - and especially appreciated would be your own photos of animal pairs that follows the thread guidelines given in the first message (overall from species not represented here).

Following this, next couples :)

They're great, TinoPup! :):) And mostly they're species new for this thread! (except the ringed teal). So very valuable contributions! I recognize the unmistakable Bronx's enclosure for birds of paradise :D
But I also must say that the photo with mandarin duck pair is better to not be posted, because the green peafowl is very obtrusive visually :)

I never saw blue monkeys in captivity, nice rarity! :) And those bisons are exceedengly curious hehe

I'm not sure what to do with numeration. We crossed replies and your phots don't have a number, so I will follow at 256 point :)

Here's another mandarin duck pair, it's just harder to see the birds:

20210430_094527.jpg

Yes, the birds of paradise were at Bronx :) Took a bit of work to get them both in the photo, since they're in separate exhibits. The male was trying hard to impress the female. The bison were very curious, and the male was very pushy! I had been petting the female when he shoved over. All of the others moved out of his way except for her. I had to crop myself out of the photo. I've seen blue monkey twice, at Omaha (barely) and then at Pittsburgh, where that photo is from.
