I was hoping to taste possum pies just down the road from you at the 5-star restaurant on the west coast of NZ South Island, but that looks like next year's trip. :D

I had curried opossum on the island of Trinidad (just off the coast of Venezuela). They called opossums 'manicous' down there. I also had curried iguana, armadillo, collared peccary, agouti, and paca, to name a few South American animals that I am not proud of eating. :(

Hmm... a cooking thread about what aspects of cooking? What I ate for lunch? Restaurant reviews? (I do restaurant reviews for Tripadvisor. :D) Recipes? A food blog?

The movie review thread is quite active, but would anyone read a cooking thread or even contribute? I can't imagine ThylacineAlive contributing. :D

The 'animals you've eaten' thread (not sure of actual name) was quite popular, but I'm not sure a cooking/meal review thread would be. But I think you should try anyway, I would like to discuss the nice Thai I had last weekend :D

Hmmm.... see, the way the forum is at the moment, we can't upload pics from our phones. I take pics of my meals with my phone, and it is impractical to download it to a laptop and then upload it to the forum. When Sim upgrades the forum, maybe I will start a thread then. However, I'll see if I have any food pics lying around on other devices.

I'm pretty sure loads of members like to cook. Some may even be actual chefs. I like to cook, and I watch Top Chef (mainly because Padma Lakshmi is really hot). I had green toast in Sumba, weirdest thing I ever saw!
