The Nonsense Thread

This reminds me of a scam a few years ago in Japan whereby some guy was selling some expensive pedigree poodles. Poodles had suddenly become a fad in Japan and lots of people were paying top dollar for them.

And the best thing about them was that they didn't eat meat or dog food (which is expensive). Instead, you just put them in your yard and they'll eat the grass.

It seems not a lot of people in that part of Japan had ever seen a sheep before.

:p

Bet he will struggle to get a job anywhere now!
Don't understand head or face tattoos...No offence to anyone who has one on head/face but I think you really have to think it through considering how prejudice many employers are about staff with tattoos anywhere!

His hair can grow over it. He can comb his hair over it. He can wear a hat or one of those Muslim or Jewish hats.

I bought an iRobot 760 yesterday. It's a robot vacuum and it is pretty cool. Anyone else has one? I highly recommend it.

Are you going to make the next Rumba Cat video?:p

How expensive? And does it do all types of floors?

Those cat videos are funny, aren't they? :D No cat videos for me: the warranty says the manufacturers won't fix it free of charge due to too much weight being placed on it. :D

Ok, so in America, they cost about four or five hundred dollars, but in Australia they are twice the price ($800) like everything else.

Yeah it cleans my hardwood floor and carpets no problem. Tassels are a potential problem on rugs though.

Dyson seems like a smart, innovative company. Any clue how those blade-less fans work (and by that I mean efficiency, not how they operate).

I'm glad you brought up vacuum cleaners because my housemate just bought one of these ( Cordless vacuum cleaners | Dyson.com.au ) and it's my new favourite appliance.

I was contemplating buying one of these. Seems a bit on the pricey side for a student (assuming your roommate is a student)though. :p "Back in my day" I used to use a broom and dustpan!! :p

How long does the battery last? I heard it lasts 15 minutes, which is why I didn't buy it in the end.

I would never have spent that much but he thought it was a good investment. Our house definitely doesn't look like students live here.
15 minutes is probably about right but it's cordless so you don't have to waste time taking the plug out and moving it around. We can easily do the whole house in one go.

I guess that the 15min battery life ensures that you don't dawdle and that you clean your entire house in 15mins.

Roomba takes about 20muns to do one small room, but I guess that the idea is that you just leave it to do its thing.

I love the idea of these!! Really want one. Any idea on UK cost? Also surely a small rodent or tortoise could be put on it :D?
