The Zoochat Photographic Guide to Old World Primates

I'd have said Piliocolobus waldronae, but it appears you don't recognise that one as a distinct species!
Yes, I have retained this as a subspecies of P. badius. To quote the relevant entry:

Western Red Colobus Piliocolobus badius
Three subspecies: badius, temminckii, waldronae. All three have been elevated to full species in recent publications.

Found around the bulge of west Africa, with badius in the central part of the range from Sierra Leone to Ivory Coast; temminckii in the western part from The Gambia to northwestern Guinea; and waldronae in the eastern part across the border region of Ivory Coast and Ghana. The last-named may be extinct.

It's a pity that FunkyGibbon left the forum some time ago, as he has photographs of Tapanuli Orangutan - but given the recent discovery that the species occurred in North American (and possibly European) collections into the 1990s there is a decent chance we might be able to unearth a photograph thus.
In one thread he suggested he had photographed a Pig-tailed Langur in the Mentawai Islands as well, but never got as far as confirming or posting the photo to the galleries if so. In any case, both are on my future radar.

An amazing new species has been added to the thread, with Myanmar Snub-nosed Monkey Rhinopithecus strykeri by @YuanChang - an event I would never have predicted. This species is probably the one I would have said was the most unlikely Old World primate to ever be represented in the Zoochat galleries (the list of the 50-odd unrepresented species is a few posts up, #144).

The individual is a rescued animal held since 2013 at the Yaojiaping Rescue Station in China. Several excellent photos are in the China Other gallery. The one below is the one I have used in the thread:

This is a strange coincidence - and I have no reason to lie or embellish: I have volume 1 of the Illustrated Mammals of the World open to pages 254-255, the Pygathrix and Rhinopithecus monkeys, right now, as I open the email notifying me about the above forum post... I am transcribing parts of the books so I can easily access them, and happen to be on the Old World monkeys right now.

I too would have thought R. strykeri would be one of the last primates to be photographed by a Zoochatter. Excellent photo, @YuanChang

Cephalopachus
One species.

Horsfield's or Western Tarsier Cephalopachus bancanus
Four subspecies: bancanus, borneanus, natunensis, saltator.

Formerly in the genus Tarsius. The species may end up being split into two species in the future, with bancanus on Sumatra and borneanus on Borneo. Of the other two subspecies, natunensis is found on the Natuna Islands close to Borneo, while saltator is from Belitung Island off Sumatra.

Photo by @TheoV of a taxidermy specimen at the National Museum of Ireland (Ireland), of the Sumatran subspecies bancanus (the scientific name used on the museum label is incorrect). The "Bauka Island" of the label is a misprint for Banka Island - now Bangka Island - off Sumatra, and is the origin of the specific name bancanus.

Love Tarsiers. Seen them in Bohol, Philippines. I wish there could be more done to help repopulate them back, but with habitat loss and lack of funding, it's quite disheartening.

I have added all of this year's Old World monkey photos into the thread. All the photos are by @Giant Eland and represent five "new" species for the thread.

I've added in a new photo by @LaughingDove of a Pig-tailed Langur Simias concolor - it's just a "record shot" so doesn't show much, but it will do until a better photo comes along.

I'll have to give @FunkyGibbon a poke, as he promised awhile ago to either log back in and upload his own photos of this species, or email them to me so that I could do so on his behalf :D:p along with Tapanuli Orangutan.

Yes, @FunkyGibbon who is still spoken about in hushed whispers in the West of Sumatra (or at least, I met one person who remembered him well). I think @Vision may have photos of both those taxa as well.
