Things That Irritate You in Life

Not such an issue now 99% of what we watch is recorded, streamed etc. but TV programmes that run over time:

I remember as a little kid getting up on Sunday to watch the only Sunday kid’s show in NZ (this cartoon about morals and manners and the such like) and the previous show (some pastor preaching) always running over by several minutes each week. I’d be swearing hardcore at the TV - completely forgetting the lessons I was supposed to have learnt from last week’s episode.

Another thing that really irritates me to the point where it has made me lose my temper and even break down into tears. This happened earlier today with a family member over the phone.

When people accuse me of or call me out on things that they are doing or do on a regular basis. It is such a double standard... In those situations, they act like when they do it, it is reasonable and justifiable but when I do it, it is problematic and that something is wrong with me as a person. I am tired of it... as the old saying goes, one finger pointing forward and three pointing back. Three Fingers Pointing Back to You

YES!!! >:( Adults do that all the time (no offense). Kids do it often as well. I also hate annoying and stupid kids at school. So bothersome. :rolleyes:

I can see that too. Growing up, grade school and high school were not always pleasant or enjoyable. Often I did get bullied and mentally drained by other students and even some teachers. To he honest, being a mischievous or disruptive wise guy was the only way I was able to get through it... There is a reason I did not go straight to college after high school like many of my peers did. I needed a good long break. Despite not having a formal college degree I have some college between my high school graduation and now. I graduated high school in 2011. I am glad I am out of grade school and high school...

Plus there's the bottom age limit, there's likely younger kids who want to join but aren't 13.
I was 13 when I joined zoochat but I created Instagram and Snapchat accounts prior to being 13 (when the minimum age was also 13) by lying about my birth year so I’m sure kids under 13 out there could join zoochat if they wanted to. Idk if it’s just me but the age limit seems kinda pointless as there really isn’t anything pg13 on zoochat.

One thing that irritates me is when someone, regardless of what side of the fence they're on, goes off on politics.

You know those people, the ones who can't seem to go a whole day without saying something about politics or watching something political. Seriously, there are times when I've had to listen to someone go off on it every night. And why is it when they listen to political stuff online they never have their headphones on?

That said, I now have a very low tolerance level for having to listen to someone's political beliefs. I mean, is it really too much to ask people to keep their political beliefs to themselves?

@Bengal Tiger, @Mr.Ivory, & @Animals R AMAZING!,
I’ve got another young person problem here: When you have friends of the opposite gender and people think you are dating, or even worse; your parents tease you for it. For example, I met a girl this year and we have already become best friends, but she has a girlfriend, we’ve also planned a few events with each other such as going to the museum, aquarium, and maybe something on Halloween. All my other friends tease me about it though, and I still haven’t talked about her much with my parents because they somehow find how to bring it up in any situation. Another notable problem is when you are talking with your crush and your friend passes by and yells “OoOoOoO” at you.

Yeah, it was really embarrasing for me when one of my best girl-friend's mom thought we were dating and asked us. The OoOoOoOo was such a common thing for my friends to do to me back in middle school, needless to say, it was very annoying :p:rolleyes:

As a parent, let me get you in on a secret: we don't really "tease" you; we just wrestle with our own very contradicting emotions. On the one hand, we're happy for our children to be socially competent and able to form relationships. On the other, this makes us painfully aware that our little hobbits are growing up and now entering adolescence, with all its ups and downs. And last but not least: it can be quite entertaining to watch how your kids manage to conquer the same problems you had at their age.;)

I am sorry... I am like that myself in many ways... I try to tone it down on the forum, due to the rules and guidelines. I could discuss politics and related issues all day if you let me... Unfortunately politics is not always an avoidable subject and I can go on about that... If we want to keep our democracy, which I certainly do, we have to come to terms with that. I will say, both the current and the previous administration irritate, frustrate, anger me and tick me off for their own reasons, but slightly more so the previous one. Often news and politics do make me want to yell at, raise my voice at, go off on and blow up at the television (I don't actually one a television, but I am sure you get the picture). That is all I am going to say on that matter...

I’ve got a few more years on you and I can tell you the teasing from friends all turns around in a year or two. :p
