Things That Irritate You in Life

How anxious, irritated, nervous and easily stressed I have been feeling lately. It's been a long time it was bad enough to require me largely tuning out from the news, but for the time being it sadly is.
Try to loosen up. Sure you can look at the wars and drown in climate crisis anxiety. But you can also focus on the birth of a samatran rhino and the green infastructurein cities for solitary bees in Europe. Little glimmers of hope to hold on to. They can get you through a whole lot.

Note that I'm not saying to ignore the mess we are in, there's still work to be done. But rather to hold on to the little shards of hope that will help you get through this nervous mess.

Your faith in all mankind
Would be the first thing you lose"

An unfortunate truth is that negativity sells. Not sure how this is across the pond, but the toxicity of mainstream American news outlets irritates me to no end. Whether it's Fox News, CNN, or anything in between, it seems that news anchors nowadays care more about giving their own opinions rather than reporting the facts and letting people make up their own mind. Dividing people with half-truths, manipulation and fear makes far more money. Most major media outlets have lost all credibility in mind and even local news stations do nothing beneficial for my psyche. There's no reason I need to hear about the latest murder, kidnapping or some other equally horrific thing I have no control over.

Tuning out from the news isn't a bad idea at all. I know I've certainly been much happier and less anxious without hearing about chaos unfolding across the globe on a daily basis. Stay informed of course, but you only need to know so much. And like the above post said, things aren't as doom and gloom as they may seem. There's new things to celebrate happening everyday, it just isn't as profitable. ;)

In addition to yesterday's post, I really hate how my messed up brain is coming up with doom scenario after doom scenario lately.

Although I was quite recently thinking about (zoo-related) plans for next year I can no longer seem them working out at all and am probably not going to go through with them at all. I'm not even sure I'll be able to go again at all right now.

Between wars and threats of war and terrorism, economic crisis, climate crisis and election (poll) results, I don't really see anything to be even a little bit hopeful or optimistic about here in Europe. I find it very hard to be happy about any environmental wins or baby animals when it looks like most stability and hold-fasts that I rely on might soon be damaged or gone.

Honestly, is there are any organization left in today's world that isn't agenda-driven and lacks credibility?

Hello.

-Seeing development in natural areas. It hurts my heart when I’m driving (I live about 30 minutes from a larger city) and I see what was once a forest or open field being turned into more cookie-cutter sprawl neighborhoods.

When people say individuals like myself are selfish for not wanting children. Because they act like every single person on the planet needs to have kids, which is stupid because, as many unfortunate children have learned the hard way, not everyone should have kids. For example, people who have kids and then regret having them later on.

Plus I really hate that people try to force having kids on those who don't want kids. For me it's like this: "Do whatever you want in that regard, just don't push it on me."

When you think it's Saturday but it's Monday
Or when I'm at a zoo and there are people either saying that a animal is ugly or weird aswell as people hogging exhibits, I just want to see the animals
A lot irritates me
Wait one more : ( I know I have a lot)
People who chew loudly

Spiders
My dog stealing my seat and not giving it back
Youtube shorts about Andrew Tate or football
Some people's lack of knowledge about countries
Days where I stay at home
Waiting for Christmas
Getting ignored by my cousins because they like talking to the family more than me
And last but least : mayo ( I just hate mayo)
Sorry I wrote alot, I do that alot.

- People who buy pets impulsively
- "NFT bros"
- People who think less of cheap and/or adopted pets
- Sweetened tea
- Casual racism
- Insects randomly going up my nose and ears (I don't understand why this keeps happening, I keep them clean)

When news sites say “X (formerly known as Twitter)”:

Just call it “X”.

I don’t use X (never have done), but I’m pretty sure everyone knows what it is by now; and if they don’t, let them search it up.

A lot of people don't, though. "X" isn't really something you can search, especially when it's a letter commonly used as a placeholder (and, you know, websites that aren't PG).

The only one who actually calls it X is the owner, anyway. Everyone else still calls it twitter, but legally news sites have to phrase it like that.

I started January 2023 with glandular fever, that lasted well until June, and flare-ups after, Covid in October of which I had symptoms into November, and general flu with a lovely fever on Christmas day lasting for 3 days and now still feeling awful and miserable.

I had 2,5 weeks off from work due to the amount of days I work and work being shut for 2 weeks over the holidays, and I've been ill since the first day I didn't had to be in work. I am done.
Being irritated at the moment is an understatement *sad face*.

I totally sympathise, I started 2023 with a chest infection, lasted for three weeks and a further four chest infections during the year .Being asthmatic doesn't help.My cough became so bad i had two x-rays which showed scarring of the lung due to the infection. They put me on Trimbow a very strong inhaler in November and to be on the safe side had to have a chest CT which may be a life saver, it showed growths on my Thyroid, biopsy was inconclusive, so having Thyroid removed 30th January so I'm a bit irritated...p....d off!!Let's hope 2024 is going to be better
