Just thought I'd mention a tip for those people planning on uploading photos to the gallery ...
The gallery software automatically resizes any photos down to a maximum of 1600 pixels in either dimension (eg 1600px high or 1600px wide).
If you upload a larger photo, it just takes more time and requires more processing power on the server (which is one of the reasons the server has been running a bit slowly of late).
If you have software to manage your photos and can easily export images automatically resized - then I suggest you do this before uploading - it will save both uploading time and processing time on the server.
I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for managing my photos and have set up an export macro which creates a copy of the photo in my "to be uploaded to ZooBeat" directory and automatically resizes them to no more than 1600px in width or height. Very easy.
