Is walsrode one of the next reviews?

Looking at your picture of a chinese monal, I am inclined to think that it is a himalayan monal. It has a crest that has a sort of pendant on the end, while the chinese monal, has a straight crest, that can only be seen when observed closely. The tals are also different. The monal in your picture has a rufous tail which ias charicteristic feature of the himalayans. Chinese have a greenish/blueish iridecent tail.
 
First i was planning to translate a few Danish reviews, but if Walsrode is a "popular demand" i can do that next?

Just keep in mind that it is not the best picture, with the colours and all. The zoo clearly states that it is a chinese monal and NOT a himalayan. But since it is a smaller zoo, they could be mistaking. I am not the best to judge, since mammals is mostly my ekspertise.

Do you mean that you want me to translate the names of the zoos that i have written reviews for in Danish, like København Zoo to Copenhagen Zoo? If not, im not quite sure what you mean...
 
thats right, and well more so i know zoo names may not change, but more so i couldnt understand what country each was in, here if u dont mind ill copy paste what i dont get

you must be excited about the crocodile zoo organising the import of phillipine crocodiles into europe
 
Oh yes indeed! In august, the owner René Hedegaard invited me down to Crocodile Zoo and gave me a personal tour of the zoo that lasted 4 hours :D. He was especially proud of the new phillipines, and even opened up to their exhibit so i could get some good photos of them :cool:

He said they would be sent out to the following zoos:

Cologne Zoo
London Zoo
Bergen Aquarium (Norway)

And i think he also mentioned Chester and some others as well, though I'm not quite sure... Does anybody here on ZooBeat know?


BTW, new reviews from two Danish minizoos have been added to the english section of Zoos.dk

This is puzzling me, Philippine Crocodiles for London are to be quarantined by Chester. Does this mean Chester will not be getting any of their own?
 
I'm not sure. I could write to Crocodile Zoo and ask?
