Thanks Chris for yet another interesting read. I see most zoo's bar a few seem to be increasing year by year, im quite suprised with all the developments though that Highland Park actaully decreased a bit.
London and Chester certainly haven't made any press releases about passing 1 million visitors yet, which they both had at this stage last year.
I think Chester has past the million but its no long news now when they do so nothing was made of it!!!I would expect an increase at the HWP this year, but I think the overall figures for 2008 will show a downward trend. Think they past it in September.I would be surprised if they didn't with the lion cub & baby rhino. Its old news ow they have passed the mark two/three years on the row.

I don't believe these figures, perhaps they were made up by bored work experience student on a wet afternoon.
Tate Liverpool is free (Tate Britain and Tate Modern, both in London, are in high in the list of free attractions). As Pertinax has pointed out Alton Towers gets around 2.5 million visitors a year - so it certainly belongs in the top ten. I'm sure I could shoot more holes in them with a little more research.
