As 2019 draws to a close here's a recap of the animal changes at the zoo. By no means do I think I have caught everything but a fairly good list of the changes.
Births
2 Golden Lion Tamarin - Carrie, July male baby
Zebra - Obi
4 red river hogs - Hazel and Ginger, and 2 males
Penguin - Matilda
3 Kangaroo - Mr. Partington, 2 unnamed joeys
9 Tur
1 southern ground hornbill, possibly 2 as there are chirps being heard from the nest now.

Eastern Loggerhead shrikes
Vancouver Island Marmots.
Not a huge year in babies but some long awaited births like the hogs and kangaroo.

Some really sad passings like Monty one of the last originals from 1974, Aasha a long time ambassador animal and Collins a great legacy animal.

Tiger - 2 females of unknown subspecies to somewhere in Texas

Many new arrivals will see bundles of joy possibly arriving in awhile.
Tomorrow new thread where I'll outline the expected arrivals in the next year and the possible babies that could very well arrive over the next 12 months. Some very exciting changes are coming that I am sure many will be pleased with and I'm not just referring to the walruses.
