I was wondering what happened to the second troop. On February 18th, it was announced that the zoo transferred (1.3) ring-tailed lemurs named Rusty, Lasonia, Lily, and Ruby to Assiniboine Park Zoo in Manitoba.
TZ has two basilisks from the former Science Center, Diana the female and Montgomery the male. They are located near the gibbons and cobra in Indo Malaya buildingThe Ontario Science Center had a Crested Basilisk for years don't know if it was still alive when they closed doors so the Toronto Zoo might have taken it.
The cows are going into the old camel enclosure, just after you come out of the Eurasia drive thru on the zoomobile. We have two young males i believe, should be out of quarantine soon. I think they will do a pedestrian pathway to the cows so you can see them without riding the zoomobileI agree. Likely in the barn in the kids zoo. The rabbits there can easily move to another exhibit. Will wait until see once they clear quarantine.
The two highland cows were named Blue and Jay to support the baseball team Blue Jays. The cows are going into the old camel enclosure, just after you come out of the Eurasia drive thru on the zoomobile. No, the poor baby! That's so awful and unfair, he could've had such a wonderful life ahead of him... ;w;Not technically a Toronto Zoo resident, but was slated to be - Cedar the blind baby moose that was set to be transfered to Toronto from Ottawa has passed suddenly. They have not shared cause of death, only that it was sudden.
I don't know why but this death seemed to affect me quite a bit. Was rooting for the little guy - especially after the rough start to life he already endured. For him to pass after making it this far ... Just seems unfair.
