On ISIS, it says we have Red-rumped agouti 7.2.10? Someone clarify please?

I think we only house brazilian agouti (In the primate wing of the Americas Pavilion) although they could be off-exhibit?

Well they are from Brazil ;), its possible I thaught it was weird when I discovered it. To have that many and be off exhibit?

Possibly however according to zoo records there is 0.2 Brazilion agouti. This may be old record though, but they were made in 08.

Well O'neil the Camel and a P. Horse have been shipped to the Calgary Zoo a couple weeks ago!

There have been some new arrivals!
- 1.1 Canadian Lynx from Assiniboine Park Zoo
- 0.1 Camel from Calgary Zoo

And
- Brad the Bataleur Eagle died last week

Too bad about Brad :( , RIP

But... glad to hear about the new arrivals!

Just a question, would our lynx enclosure be able to hold three animals (There is already are current male, Lazarus) ?

As fa I now, we have (Or maybe had) a male named Lazarus

Hey guys, I'm new to posting here but I have been reading this forum for quite sometime. Just want to say you guys rock and know your stuff!

I have been a member for quite sometime now and I tried to visit the zoo roughly twice a month. Can't get enough. Anywho I was wondering if anyone could answer a question I have:

In the America's Pavilion in the Aqauria section just past the King Rat Snake there are a couple tanks that have been off exhibit for quite sometime (the Urchins, Anemones, and the Giant Pacific Octopus). I was there a couple days ago and the Prehensile Tailed Porcupines are now on exhibit adjacent to the Octopus tank, I was wondering if these tanks are going to open again or new exhibits were going in? Any thoughts/answers?

Thanks.

Hello JMAN!

Welcome to the fourm! Another TZ lover is always welcome!

Great to have the porc's on display! Haven't seen them in a while! The answer to the America's Pavilion is still unknown at this time! They have done some renovations to the tanks and upgraded a lot. As for opening times know one knows yet.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

And again welcome!

Thanks Quartz!

Yes, the Porcupines are back on and their exhibit follows the same kind of feel as the Egyptian Fruit Bat, with the nocturnal lighting, and they were much more active and looked very healthy!

Thats great to here! I haven't seen that species in quite some time! I am glad they are displayed again! Came a long way from being potentially phased out. Check out my thread its called Fact of the Week!

I have read the posts on your fact on the week, great info. Will look forward to Indo Malaya facts!
