I wonder what’ll happen with batari now. She was just brought in a couple of months ago to breed with him.

I would imagine the SSP will find another male to breed with her, as there are more available males than females, including 3 of Gahara's sons (Berani in Houston and Henry and Leon at White Oak). The other male in Tulsa is her half brother so that rules him out as a potential mate.

Thank you, figured as much. It seemed in poor taste to move her to a facility with a 17 year old and a brother anyhow.

Flamingos return to Tulsa Zoo
The flamingos are back on display at the Tulsa Zoo.
According to a Tulsa Zoo Facebook post, 33 American flamingos were moved behind the scenes as a precaution against bird flu.
During that time, more than 40 cubic yards of dirt were brought into to create a new habitat for birds. The flock built 15 mud mound nests in the habitat and hatched three male flamingo chicks.

On December 20th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) North American river otter named Kyra passed away at the age of 19.

On January 4th, 2023, it was reported that the penguin is a (0.1) which is now named River.

On January 5th, it was announced that the zoo acquired a (1.0) Malayan tiger named Tanvir from Zoo Knoxville in Tennessee. It was also announced that the zoo transferred a (1.0) Malayan tiger named Tahan to Zoo Knoxville for breeding purposes.

The zoo also has a new chimp! 10-year-old female, Zuri, has arrived at the zoo from the Los Angeles Zoo recently.
As reported on the Exotic Feline Breeding Compound News thread, a (1.0) Malayan tiger named Raja was transferred to the zoo.

On March 11th, it was announced that the zoo transferred a (0.1) Geoffrey's marmoset to the Mesker Park Zoo in Indiana.

Is the zoo going to make a path for guests that can reach the new 10 acre enclosure to see the elephants in their more naturalistic environment??? I think an elevated walkway/boardwalk would be nice!I don't believe this has been posted but here is the plan for the new elephant complex. Its from a Facebook post late last year by the zoo. It sure is an interesting layout with most of the exhibit space off exhibit and two detached barns.
