Toronto Zoo Tundra Trek - Members Preview Nights

Just for anyone is wondering how to tell Aurora and Nakita apart, i've seen them about 20 times over the past 5 years so I have learned to tell the difference

Aurora is much longer and lankier than Nakita. He has a longer snout which has very thin hair and the rest of her coat is extremely thin (To the point where you can see alot of the black hair. She the more aquatic of the two and is more adventrous to new surroundings while Nakita tends to take a while to explore

Nakita is shorter and stockier. Her coat is very thick and white and her snout is smaller and rounder than Aurora's. She is much more dominant in terms of items and often can be found playing with toys

Thanks for the head's up :) As I see how tightly bonded they are to each other, could this be problematic when the zoo eventually breeds them, if they're still going ahead with breeding?

It could be a problem, since all 3 animals are from the wild, I don't think that they all will be remaining at the zoo for very long if the SSP takes over.

I think the likely outcome if anyone does move is that oen of the sisters would leave and one would stay

Then again... Kunik, Bisi and Sani were born in the wild but they stayed and bred at the zoo

Just a question about that trio, were they the zoo's first polar bears (Toronto, not Riverdale) ?

I agree completely that one of the sisters would leave. That would be devistating for the sisters, they have been together for life.
