Tarzan

In mrs Boardmans time the visitor was much happier, look at trip adviser lately, I think it is time that people stopped moaning about her and moved on. The world changes chaps.

Are you seriously saying that the visitors were happier under the women who got rid of the lions and giraffes.

Yes, the Lions enclosure was too small and it wasnt her who got rid of the Giraffes?

And Hello to you Integrity, our teenage member is correct, it is you who are wrong, the decision to get rid of the giraffes was announced in the September of last year, check Twycross Zoo news 2012 for confirmation, Mrs. Boardman was still C.E.O. then, it was suggested at the time that the giant tortoises were going to move into the giraffe house. The old lion house was a bit small, I agree, but who announced to the world that a major exhibit for lions, tigers and dholes was "coming soon"?, the plans for this exhibit had not even been placed in the council's planning department.

I stand corrected Tarzan.
Yes you are and I wonder just who is posting alot of those comments on trip adviser! But I think we both know just who that person is don't we Intergrity!

I just hope the current management has the time to un-do the damage done in Mrs Boardman and your goodselfs time at the zoo!!

Integrity, you may think it is highly amusing coming on here and attempting to extract the urine out of members who take a keen interest in the wellbeing and future of Twycross Zoo, very well, I hope your sides are aching, It causes me to wonder however if you have ever given a thought to what damage was done to this zoo when under the direction of the lady from Thirsk and her management team. In life I look at it like this, it is impossible to get on and be popular with everyone, especially I suppose when you are the boss of a zoo, which is not an easy thing to run employing a lot of people. How come then is it that I have NEVER EVER heard anybody have a good word for Mrs. Boardman?, I have not heard anybody's name who is in charge of a zoo been criticised as much. Have you ever spared a thought of how Miss Evans is thinking, and what Miss Badham would have said if she was alive. A long standing keeper told me before she retired after over forty years service, she was once proud to be working at Twycross, at the end she felt ashamed, not very good. It may also interest you to know that a keeper at this zoo lost his life while on duty at Twycross, his partner, god bless her said she did not want the elephant put down, and continued to work at the zoo for many years after, laughing now are you Integrity, P.S. I will not be swinging in the trees tonight with Josey the chimp, she has just stopped playing with the mace and I am now going to take her for a ride in a nice new Wessex helicopter, message understood?

Tarzan old chap I am not laughing, I am concerned that you have rose coloured spectacles on and can't see what is before you. Your prehistoric views are old school, as the saying goes those who can't do teach, know what I mean Tarzan

Yes the people who visit and make comments

And here was me thinking it was Mrs Boardmans pet pit-bull making all those comments, but then isn't it funny that all the really negative comments only started to appear on trip adviser, after both you and her were removed from the zoo!!!

No what I mean?, sorry I do not know what you mean, "Those who can't do teach", I have never professed to be a member of the teaching profession, and as I have posted previously I am not the greatest fan of those who are. I have "done" all my life since leaving school at sixteen mister, and worked bloody hard as well,I do not claim to be an Alan Sugar but all my life in business I have known the difference between profit and loss and how to make something pay, I have also dealtwith the public all my life and have been a great believer of giving the customer value for money and left them happy. I also know how to handle staff, I keep a number of free spirited Geordie lads in hand every day of the week and when I come home all of our animals, domestic pets, get the best of everything going, an old friend in a similar business to myself once told me as a piece of advice"when dealing with a rogue adopt the mind of a rogue" good advice I think!

It wasn't in business I was thinking about, for your information I have never even had a parking ticket in my life, who put the three million pounds of Twycross money in the hands of the brothers Grim?, what a nice chimp house that would have built
