Is the train currently in service please.
sorry should have put this up
went down the sat as we said with the in laws
all the main path is now open
waterplay was open and was extremely busy, not sure how busy the loos (old pets corner) will cope as the nearest place to realisticly change kids
going to sound an odd question but does anyone know how long the giant tortoise can breath underwater as it was "sleeping" with its head underwater for around 6 hours by the time we left, i will admit to not knowing much about animals (aside from the kids)
gibbon forest seems on track, one island was dug, moat lined and foundations for the building are down, saw several more moats marked out
bat eared foxes appear to be long gone, the enclosure has an "under refurbishment" sign (and if i remember has for a while) and looks a little overgrown but on closer inspection seems to have several new plants and the wire from the "cave" is less visible
caught the lemur talk for the first time since the walkthrough was built and was quite informative (still never seen penguin feed and been going there over 10 years now)
kids loved the parquet house, i know its not exactly new anymore (did anyone notice they had to put retrospective planning permission in) but its still one of the highlights of their visits (all 3 kids autistic and love animals, ones already drawing pictures of the zoo she wants to open - tho im not sure about the walkthrough lion enclosure she wants)
has anyone seen the marmosets in the trees yet, never seen them out yet
also does anyone know if the otters are expecting? one was pulling long grass and dragging it into the pipes, and they seem to have lowered the water level, again something they did last time there was kits
tired of the screaming near the softplay area, have to admit i eat elsewhere now usually the actually reasonably priced chippy (at least reasonably priced if you avoid the fish)
slightly disappointed by the orang extension, not because of the look or the facilities for them, but simply because i proposed to my wife on the bench at the cockatoo cafe end of the house, its extremely sad to see that you wont be able to go in anymore and sit on the bench its something weve done everytime we go, that and every member of the family has had their picture with the rose beds infront of the moneybar
any questions or comments please ask
