I don't understand why they wouldn't put their full collection, I'm now more inclined to visit.

Not quite true; there was a short-lived golden snub-nosed monkey at London Zoo before World War 2
Very interestingthat will need adding to ZTL then!
Can any one use this list of so anyone know where I can see:
Yellow tailed wolly monkeys
If I remember rightly, this would be the animal referred to in Desmond Morris's 'Men and Pandas', was actually dying when Floyd Tangier Smith brought it into the country.
ZTL seems to take an 'ultra-splitters' approach to Rhyticeros plicatus. Many authorities don't recognise the subspecies as valid, as "variation appears to be largely clinal, with overlap in size and colours" (HBW). So the Papuan Hornbills in Britain could belong to one or more of these supposed subspecies. The following Hornbill species are not listed in any UK collections on Zootierliste web site, I was wondering if any of them are in the UK and have been overlooked or not put on the web site.
Greater New Guinea hornbill
Lesser New Guinea hornbill
New Guinea hornbill
I use ZTL as a guide these days as there are too many mistakes especially in the UK collections.
Also there are a lot of the smaller collections not even mentioned in the UK section, that was why I opened a thread on small collections in the UK forum.
Anyway many thanks for your info MikeG
STELLER’S SEA EAGLE - As per Golden Eagle, rare in mainstream zoos, popular in falconaries.
HARPY’S EAGLE - None in UK, 2 zoos in Germany hold this animal, Berlin and Nurnberg.
London Zoo's first hoatzin was acquired in 1931 but it wasn't the "sole holding in Europe".HOATZIN - None in Europe, only ever pops up occasionally in collections. The sole holding of this animal in Europe was in 1931 at London.
