UK Zoos closed due to COVID-19

Similar line with botanic gardens (they're good for casual birding and getting out and about, so I'll put this here as an aside). As far as I can tell, most, if not all, botanic gardens are remaining open, and all seem to be waiving entry fees and making themselves free to enter. Cafes are becoming take-away only, or spreading tables out to the gardens, to provide for social distancing. Glasshouses are closing, as is to be expected, but otherwise, for now, botanic gardens are providing another vital place for fresh air, open space, and a place to see that life and nature endure
 
Noah's Ark is still open but has taken some precautions such as, reminding visitors to keep the length of one llama apart and to sing 'Old McDonald' while reading hands.
 
Utterly surprisingly, The Living Rainforest are remaining open. This is a zoo that is contained entirely within a series of enclosed glasshouses. Similar glasshouses in botanic gardens are closing, so to hear this zoo is still open comes as a shock

Shepreth closed until further notice
 
London Zoo has now closed. It had been open all the way to today, but with walkthroughs closed. Whipsnade remains open however.
 
Aspinall parks are open.

Hearing London has closed tears my heart out :(
 
It's the right thing to do at this time, unlike Whipsnade London zoo is quite confined in space

ZSL has survived two world wars and it will survive this, maybe in a different form but survive nonetheless.

Don’t forget those now out in the field-the researchers, rangers and anti-poaching brigades whose livelihoods and incomes depend on overseas tourism. Now, more than ever, it’s these individuals who need our support.

Folly Farm has become the latest UK zoo to close until further notice.

It looks like Chester and Twycross have remained open for the time being but certain areas closed off to the public.
