there are very few australian species in new zealand and even fewer new zealand species in australia.
i think this is a good thing. despite both countries being members of the same zoo association, each nation is best positioned to take care of its own species and any effort by one country to engage in a breeding program of the others species is unnecessary and a waste of money thats better spent on local conservation breeding programs.
i like my koalas in australia and my kiwis in new zealand.
