Is that the macaw aviary? (the aviary which I have never seen enything in before).

Some notes from my visit yesterday:
Thi is looking very big now, she seemed quite subdued and was spending most of her time with Sheba. Sithami and Sundara shared responsibilities of Nayan, and seemed to be having quite a good time as they trotted round the paddock in the afternoon.
Mongoose Mania has closed and its inhabitants moved off-show, as it appears an indoor viewing area is in construction. It is on the left hand side of the enclosure (if walking from tigers) and looks significantly larger than the old nest box.

And finally, the Okapi were very close to mating, perhaps the closest I've seen them but Stuma still being slightly stubborn.
No its the enclosure that used to be the outdoor enclosure for the Tuatara by the main entrance to the Tropical Realm! Is that the macaw aviary? (the aviary which I have never seen enything in before).
No, as JR and ZG have said, it's the old tuatara enclosure, most recently home to the Sumatran laughingthrush. The roof is being replaced and the waterfall reclaimed, then the birds will be going back in. There is a pair in the old aviary on the Arara Lawn for anyone missing them.Is that the macaw aviary? Thi's due date was last Friday, 14th February.Thi is still keeping us all waiting, was hoping I'd share a birthday but alas it was not to be.

No, I'm making up my own dates now.Yup, but do you not mean January...
The stand off fencing that sourounds the canal by the Giraffe's and Giant Anteater has been replaced. The new fence borders the main path meaning that the bank is now inaccessiable and you can't get as close to anteaters as you once could (on the plus side though it means less chance of someone falling into the canal!)
Spoke to one of the presenters who confirmed that they were expecting Thi's (Asian Elephants) calf to be born anytime now.
The giant otters have been seen mating, so should the female be pregnant it'll have an impact on the development schedule.Does anyone know when they are due to begin work on the Giant Otter's underwater viewing area?

I have some questions some of you may be able to answer:
1What Species are they(apart from Philippine Crocodile's)in the Tropical Realm?
2The Same question applies to Islands in danger(apart from Komodo Dragon's)
3And how many Philippine Spotted Deer do Chester have?
Sorry to ask but this seemed like the only place to ask![]()
2 3 Species of Iguana, Mountain Chicken Frog, Hornbills, Birds of Paradise and some other birds I can't name from memory.
Thanks JR where are the Cabots Tragopan?
