Franklin Park mixes Warthogs with African Crested Porcupines. Around 15% of the exhibit is accessible to the porcupines only, which gives them a safe space to go to avoid conflict with the warthogs.
Has anyone ever seen warthogs mixed with anything? I wonder how they get along with other species.
@bongorob is correct, of course. Here is some evidence from 10 years ago.Chester used to keep them with banded mongoose.
They don't eat the birds' eggs? Or are those not ground nesting birds?Tulsa Zoo has warthogs in a mixed-species white rhino habitat that also includes I believe nyala, springbok, grey crowned cranes, and white storks. There's multiple attached yards and the rhinos can't access all of them, but the warthogs can share space with them if they want.

I'm sure they would if the birds chose to nest on the ground. Warthogs have been implicated in killing various bird species in captive conditions so its not a great mix regardless.
