3 left and one of the places I stayed in Bolivia sometimes sees Short-eared Dog, but no luck. I also just noticed Joel Sartore had photographed a captive Short-eared Dog in Peru. Was too late to add onto my recent South America trip- hopefully it sticks around. The two Asian species shouldn't be too difficult to at least find wild, and I think are each kept captive currently.
