Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden What's Gnu at the Cincinnati Zoo - 2015

The yellow-backed duikers really do exist!! At least one female named "Lily" is now on exhibit with the okapis.

A second male Thomson's gazelle is now on exhibit in Africa.

The bongo calves are now on exhibit as well.

I can also confirm that the guineafowl are, indeed, Kenya crested, and they are currently being clicker trained so that they (there are at least six!) can soon go on exhibit.

Could share with me the Zoo's current gorilla population? I feel like i've seen so many updates wit the zoo introducing new males.

This is a link to the zoos website where they talk more about each individual, Gorilla World - The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

Heres a real quick summary of the gorillas that are there now.
Jomo & Harambe (Adult Male Silverbacks)

Samantha, Chewie, Mara, Asha, Anju, M’linzi (Adult Females)

Gladys & Mondika (Baby/young Females)

The meerkats are now on exhibit in Africa.

The trumpeter swan pair on Swan Lake has nested producing two eggs.

We tried to get a picture of the meerkats but the sun glare off the glass was too much hopefully they rotate with foxes so we can get a better picture

Unknown animal ultrasound

This is a picture of a random animal ultrasound but the way the zoo talked about it it sounded like it was a really cool animal. They aren't revealing it yet. Most people think its a polar bear, elephant, giraffe, or gorilla (I hope it's not a gorilla, because even though gorillas are pretty cool, most zoos with gorillas have babies frequently).

What do you guys think it is?

Crossing my fingers it could also be Jati possibly or maybe even an AI success on Manjula.

I get the feeling its one of the crowd bringing animals. Why not just say what animal it is if its a not big announcement pregnancy? My bets are on Berit, Jati, Manjula, or Renji. A baby Polar Bear, Elephant, Endangered Rhino, or Snow Leopard would be a big surprise and worth having people guess and then reveal after.
