Which zoo do you wish to live near?

I was reading some old reviews earlier and one way the writer used to assess how he felt about it was if he would like it to be his local zoo.

That made me think, if any zoo could become your local zoo, which would you like it to be?

I would like Woodland Park Zoo, Zürich or the Bronx.

I'm going to say either: Cincinatti (Sumatran rhinos, and a good collection of hoofstock I've heard). Either that, or I'd like to live in San Diego (Zoo, Wild Animal Park and Sea World, complete with Emperor penguins :D).

Personally though, out of all zoos I've visted I'm glad Chester is my local.

I would live near the Dutch/German border and would therefore have about twenty decent to excellent zoos within striking distance.

Good idea Pygathrix.

Anyway, I think it is realy hard to chose, like the old saying: The gras in neighbor's garden is always greener.

So I'm realy happy to live only about 20 minutes (by car) from Zurich Zoo (good choice Shirokuma by the way:)). Although sometimes living in San Diego (Zoo, WAP, Seaworld, Birch) with its yearround sunny weather or in Berlin (Zoo, Tierpark, Aquadom and maybe soon a new Crocodile Center in Potsdam) would be great as well.

I want a luxury motor yacht, then I could cruise from zoo to zoo. Of course I wouldn't be greedy - I just want a small one, so I could sail up rivers to visit some inland zoos as well as the ones near the coast :D.

If you won't let me have a boat or even a mobile home, I wish I could afford a house on Jersey.

I would like to live near San Diego(mostly because of the Safari Park excellent elephant husbandry), Bronx Zoo, Jacksonville Zoo( :D ), Minnesota Zoo, Woodland Park, St. Louis(to see Eli and Rani again!)

I wouldn't mind living in New York. Bronx, Central Park, Prospect Park and Queens all in the same city wouldn't be too bad. And I wouldn't mind Singapore either.

Also I'm glad I live near Melbourne with Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and the Aquarium.

Trust me--zoos aside, you are in a much better place (and the zoos aren't bad either)

I know its nearly christmus with a thread like this. A great excuse to indulge in zoo coverting.:p
