Three months ahead and under budget should be in ready for the winter.
A previous post mentioned new exhibits. No plans as yet, but here's something to consider: the dinosaurs cost the zoo £180,000. Now I've no doubt the zoo will recoup that, but they're only around for just over a month, so that's a significant outlay to exceed. Imagine what that sum could build you or exhibit!
I visited again today. ‘Holly’ has, indeed, recently been sent to another collection and all the signs for her have been taken down.
I was told she had been sent to "a zoo in the Czech Republic” .
Was more annoyed sealion show wasn't even a show just a new trainer playing with Dominic for less than 5 minutes and the two girls who they said weren't performing as its breeding season so they can do as they wish, but why advertise it as a show then?
I understand your frustration, the same happened on Sunday, but there was a full explanation that the females were pregnant, the leaflets with talk/show times are probably printed well in advance for each week/ month.I did think that is why but with 7 large school groups watching what was suppose to be a sealion demonstration it was pretty dissapppointing , they should have ran the show with just Dominic and Oscar pre training as he looked like he needed stimulation after being seperatef from mum!
I only viewed it from afar on my last visit, two days ago, but it appears to be progressing well. Photo added to gallery. How's the construction of the new Elephant Conservation Centre coming along ?

When did they stop offering free car entry in winter?
