On September 3rd, the zoo announced that a capybara named Ahsoka/Snips was born the week prior which is now on display in the Shipwreck Cove exhibit.

9.1K views · 32K reactions | We have a very special announcement! BB8 and Chewy have welcomed in a new little addition to the family! This little one is Ahsoka, (Snips for short), and was proudly named by one of our amazing guests! Ahsoka is just a little over a week old and is already spending each day splashing in the pond. Capybaras are precocial which means since birth they are already very independent. The baby has just started eating solid foods and because of that, their favorite place to nap is the hay bin! Come check out Ahsoka and the family in their exhibit over by Shipwreck Cove, and if you have ever wanted the opportunity to meet a Capybara close up, you can book an encounter on our website at wildlifeworld.com/encounters #newbaby #capybara #fun #starwars #cute | Wildlife World Zoo

The new exhibit for African wild dogs opened (outside of Dragon World, the serval is still on the map online, but that's the space). The yard looks really well done with grass, rocks, varied heights, etc.

Also, a new exhibit for red and white giant flying squirrels. They claim to be the only zoo in the USA with an exhibit for the squirrels that is open to the general public.

*EDIT TO ADD*
The squirrels are in the Predators aquarium building, which makes me wonder what they took the place of.
**EDIT 2**
Looking back at my pictures and comparing it to the video in the link, I think it may have been the crocodile monitor enclosure.

23 reactions | Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park Welcomes African Wild Dogs and Introduces the Nation’s Only Public Exhibit of Red and White Giant Flying Squirrels!!! Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park is thrilled to announce two exciting new additions to its world class collection of animals: a new pack of African wild dogs and the arrival of red and white giant flying squirrels, making Wildlife World the only zoo in the United States open to the public exhibiting this extraordinary species! Known for their striking coats and highly social nature, African wild dogs are one of the most endangered carnivores on the planet, with fewer than 6,000 remaining in the wild. To accommodate these incredible animals, Wildlife World has designed a brand new, state of the art exhibit created specifically to meet their behavioral and environmental needs! In another milestone, Wildlife World proudly welcomes red and white giant flying squirrels, a nocturnal species native to Asia. Recognizable by their soft, reddish fur and gliding membranes that allow them to soar gracefully between trees, these squirrels are a rare sight, and Wildlife World is now the only public zoo in the country where guests can see them. These charming flyers are the latest example of Wildlife World’s ongoing commitment to introducing guests to the planet’s most unique and little known animals! #new #amazing #fun #zoo #dog #squirrel | Wildlife World Zoo

I saw a pair of squirrels appear in a private breeding operation in the USA recently, could it be that they're spreading due to dealers?
