Your Rules While Visiting a Zoo

I usually do my research prior to visiting as when there is a particular species I want to see I need to know where it is located in the zoo and if it is on display to the public etc (Hence my zoochat account).

Time is precious, so I don't really care about seeing the more common species that I have seen before. When I arrive at a zoo I make sure I have enough time to see what I came for and make a beeline to that enclosure/enclosures.

Then I'll typically spend a lot of time around the exhibit/exhibits (sometimes up to an hour) observing the animal/animals in question and gaining some vivid memories.
 
Rule 1) Don’t take a break and sit on a bench (except for eating)
Rule 2) Walk slow to stay longer
Rule 3) Don’t go near any entertainment (except for keeper talks, animal shows, or animal petting and feeding)
Rule 4) don’t talk to people who don’t know anything about animals. Only answer directional questions and/or good questions about the animal.
Rule 5) Try to see every animal.
Rule 6) get dippin dots. They are required!
Rule 7) Have fun and relax

Mine are pretty much the same except, subtract 6, and add "don't rush me!" I can't wait until I can start going by myself and go at my own pace
 
1.) See everything lol
2.) Get a pin, a guidebook, a coin, ect.
3.) My brother's are feed the parakeets and dip n' dots (Don't kill me but I'm not a big fan of them)
4.) Take some photos
5.) Don't get triggered by the people who don't call a gorilla an ape despite a sign right in front of them saying "We're not monkeys!"
6.) Go slow (This drives my family crazy)
7.) Savor it because you won't be able to go for like another fe months. (I'm not 18 and am unemployed sooooooo)

2) Stay for ages in front of the amur leopards, even if there is no movement
3) Make sure you see the animals you have never seen before
4) Enjoy myself
5) If someone gets something wrong, correct them :)

2. Ignore my mom's snarky comments because she's bored
3. Ignore my parents when they ask "Haven't we seen this animal before?"
4. Stare at any primates for approximately 30 years
5. Get really triggered when the species I traveled across the country to visit aren't out

Yeah I would add that as well. The one time I remember being rushed is when I was with my family at the Detroit Zoo for the wild lights show and the only exhibits where we could actually see the animals was the reptile house. I wanted to look at each individual animal, but my family wanted to rush through for some reason. I still took my sweet time and viewed every animal.
